if i could think, i´d put a nice title on this post

my language learning experience thus far... until today, my brain has been functioning. which is good. but between language school and constantly trying to mentally translate, it is now somewhat fried- ¨mis neuronas son fritas¨ (courtesy of my teacher). this morning at breakfast, i think i looked at my host mom like i had never heard the language before. i kind of feel as though my spanish is getting worse right now, but i think that can be attributed to 3 factors- 1) i´ve already said everything i know how to say, 2) i´m constantly discovering exactly how much i don´t know, and 3) my brain is fried. i was told that everyone has these days with spanish and it´s sure to pass. i´m hopeful and i´ll keep you updated on the status of that. i do know that i´ve learned quite a bit and my comprehension has improved a ton in the time that i´ve been here, which i´m so grateful for.

on a lighter note, this afternoon eimy (my sis- 3 yrs old) turned to henry (my bro) and said ¨emily is our sister!¨ and then they proceeded to run over and give me a huge hug together. ADORABLE. i promise i´ll take pictures soon!
